Annual Events

Senior Prom: once a year for DeKalb residents ages 55+ and for adults of any age in our dance classes.
Masters Games of Alabama: (we will start advertising in March for these)
- What is Masters Games? It is competition for Alabama residents ages 50 and older in 16 different events. There are Men’s & Women’s divisions in 9 different age groups (5-year increments). The youngest group is 50-54. The oldest is 90+. At the State Games, medals are awarded to 1st-3rd in each gender & age group. With the District Games, 1st and 2nd place ribbons are awarded to Rook and Dominoes events. 1st– 3rd place ribbons are awarded in the remaining events. With partner events (Rook and Domino Doubles), you pick your own partner before you register for the games. They are not divided by gender. Individual events include men’s and women’s divisions in Domino Singles, Basketball Free Throw, Billiards, 5K Fun Run, Bowling, Frisbee Throw, Golf Singles, Cornhole, Nerfball Throw, Shuffleboard, Softball Throw, & Table Tennis.
- District Masters Games: Registrations will be $15 per person due in early May. Competition will be in or around Madison County. We will provide transportation to DeKalb residents at no cost.
- State Masters Games: Those that qualify at the District Games will be eligible to compete in the State Games in Valley, AL. We plan on providing transportation. The fee for State Games is $15 per person.
